Whether it is through the time and efforts of our volunteers or through financial contributions, we proudly stand by the many Lowcountry organizations and non-profits in their tireless efforts to make our community a better place to live. For us, it is not just about giving back. It is about being good neighbors.

Since its inception, we have supported the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra as it has grown into one of the most renowned small-town symphonies in the world. It has been our pleasure to see this organization flourish and to provide whatever aid we can as the symphony goes beyond the concert hall to provide outreach and musical education to area students.

We proudly support the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina in all of its endeavors to elevate our area arts scene. Whether they are putting on Broadway-caliber shows or conducting in-house art classes and gallery shows, we have been right there with them every step of the way.

And those are just two of the many well-respected community organizations we have been proud to lend our support to. Organizations like Deep Well, Hilton Head Heroes, First Presbyterian Day School and the RBC Heritage presented by Boeing have all done incredible things for our community and we are proud to stand by them. You will even find Charter One Realty professionals making the switch from selling homes to building them, helping Hilton Head Regional Habitat for Humanity construct new homes on and off the island.

It has been our privilege to be in a position where we could provide much-needed financial support as well. As an example, our donation of $15,000 in 2015 and 2016 provided funding for the purchase of a box truck for Osprey Village, an “inclusive residential neighborhood with a purpose” that will provide individualized services for adults with special needs. We have doubled down on our commitment, pledging another $15,000 over 2017 and 2018 to purchase an additional box truck for Osprey Village’s thrift stores.

We have also purchased three box trucks for Hilton Head Regional Habitat for Humanity and been named a corporate Diamond Sponsor by Volunteers in Medicine. Charter One Realty recently presented VIM with a check for $18,000 and a commitment for a further $18,000 in 2018.

All told, this represents a charitable arm of Charter One Realty that donated more than $100,000 to area charities and organizations last year.

But for Charter One Realty, the love for our community goes far beyond the numbers. The Lowcountry is our home and the people behind these organizations, and those they serve, are our neighbors. We value the strength of the relationships we have been built with those neighbors, and the community we are building together.
