I found Alec Smith long before I moved to South Carolina. A friend in Maine had moved here and raved about it so I started checking it out and I found Alec. He educated me so much about the area, sending me maps, homes to look at, phone calls offering ups and downs of different areas, but most importantly, he wanted to know what I was looking for so he could help me "check off all the boxes". In May of 2022 I finally made the move here from Maine and began officially working with Alec to find a home. Because he listened intently to what I was looking for, it didn't take long to find my dream home in Battery Point with fabulous amenities. Alec will make sure you get everything thoroughly inspected before you make up your mind to buy or not to buy, e.g. inspection, termite inspection, appraisal, etc. He keeps his eye on the ball making sure things get taken care of quickly and correctly and the process continues to move along to closing. He spent months with me and was never pushy or impatient. AND he bought me a gift card to a high-end furniture store to boot! Alec's great!! I could go on and on and on. We decided to check out the real estate market in Berkeley Hall, where we were currently living, and called the Delchers about a listed home. We chose the Delchers because of their fine reputation in the real estate market in our area. However, that particular home did not turn out to be the home for us. We did not need to move, so we told Duke and Linda we only wanted something we fell in love with. They called a few weeks later and said they'd found the perfect house for us .......and it was!
