Prior to joining Charter One Realty, Roy Brasington had over 20 years of experience in the real estate industry as a sales broker and agent at Lake Toxaway, NC. Roy is originally from Columbia, SC and received his BA in Business Administration and History from Furman University where he was a letterman in cheerleading, track, and cross country. His perseverance and gift of encouragement have stuck with him!
Roy also served as a US Army Officer with assignments in the US, Germany, and Vietnam where he earned a Bronze Star. Roy owned his own business in Columbia prior to beginning his real estate career and served as a director on the National Association of Electrical Distributors representing North and South Carolina. He has also served on the Board of Trustees of Converse College, President of the Columbia Furman Club, President’s Council at University of South Carolina, President of Columbia’s Metropolitan Business Club, Chairman of the Tennis Committee at Wildewood Country Club, and Elder at Spring Valley Presbyterian Church.
Roy and his wife, Edie, have grown children and grandchildren living in Greenville and Hilton Head Island, SC. In Western NC, Roy marketed seasonal second homes and homesites, as well as land tracts for conservation, development, family estates, and investment. He is thrilled to be living in the South Carolina Lowcountry and selling property in the surrounding area of Bluffton and Hilton Head.
