hilton head events

We love the many Hilton Head events that grace our island each year. Not only do they provide incredible traditions for us locals to build, but they usher in so many visitors who we welcome with open arms.

If you’re wondering, “What is there to do on Hilton Head?” wonder no more! Of course, you can enjoy miles of beaches, every outdoor sport you can imagine and incredible cuisine, but let’s talk EVENTS.

Here are some special things to do on Hilton Head Island that don’t won’t want to miss (in chronological order because they’re all so incredible that it’s the only fair way to feature them)!

Concours d’Elegance & Motoring Festival - November 1-3, 2019

Each fall it happens. It’s the primo Hilton Head event highlighting the love affair that exists between humans and their machines: classic cars, vintage aircraft and more.

This is the 18th annual pairing of aeronautic and automotive history with exhibits and displays at both Hilton Head Airport and Port Royal Golf Club. On Friday guests will enjoy “Flights of Fancy” as the Wings of Freedom tour presents vintage seaplanes, WWII fighters and bombers, bi-planes, classic commercial and private planes from the 1920s, ‘30s, ‘40s, and beyond. See jets from Gulfstream, Lear, Cessna and other pioneers, private aircraft builders. You can tour many of them inside, and you can even take a ride in some WWII aircraft!

On Saturday at Port Royal Golf Club, travel back more than a century to see classic cars and motorcycles that look so good, so new, you’ll think a time machine brought you back to the first day they rolled out on the road.

Classic foreign cars and motorcycles include Aston Martins, Corvettes, Rolls Royce, Fords, Chevys, Packards, and more. You’ll also see sedans, coupes, cabriolets and sports cars, touring bikes and other vintage motorcycles.
