Spring Island

Spring Island is a nature preserve and island residential community in Beaufort County, South Carolina. It is a 3000-acre coastal Sea Island consisting of live oak forest interwoven with waterfront homes. Understated elegance hangs from the boughs of Spring Island’s Live oak forests. The intentionally unmanicured coastal forest is allowed to flourish naturally while community buildings, grounds and amenities are pristine playgrounds for Members and residents of the idyllic Island. Spring Island defines luxury devoid of pretension. Members, neighbors and friends hold tight to an intimately shared experience that is as creative as it is robust.

Spring Island Real Estate

Tucked away along the inland waters of the Colleton and Chechessee Rivers lies Spring Island, a 3,000-acre nature preserve residential community relished by just 400 Members.  Perfectly nestled between Beaufort and Charleston, South Carolina, and Savannah, Georgia, Spring Island offers access to historical and cultural centers. The Island's backdrop of nature preserves and maritime forests make for one of the most elegant, private communities in the South.

Spring Island homes are situated around preserves, ponds, and the marshes and waterways of the South. Spring Island homes for sale are inspired by nature's splendor, and undeveloped lots for sale provide architects with a rare canvas for their work of art. The architecture is both traditional and contemporary with interpretations of the Lowcountry style and living. Architectural guidelines encourage homes to compliment not compete with their surroundings. Whether it is an intimate cottage or an estate along the water, Spring Island is a retreat for generations.

Spring Island

A Day in the Life

Spring Island’s Old Tabby Links course was designed and created in 1992 by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay. Still today, it is heralded as a Lowcountry golf masterpiece with players enthralled with the course. The course was restored in 2012 revealing a challenging and exciting golf experience.

The Golf House offers a wonderful view of the 18th hole and adjoining salt marsh. Influenced by the availability of fresh local and regional provisions, the menu changes with the seasons and is ideal for a quick bite or a more leisurely lunch with friends. The comfortable bar is the perfect spot to gather before dinner or to celebrate a great day on the course. The restaurant is open year round. Breakfast and lunch are served daily and dinner alternates between the Golf House and the dining room at the River House.
