As first time homebuyers and now owners! I found Alec Smith long before I moved to South Carolina. A friend in Maine had moved here and raved about it so I started checking it out and I found Alec. He educated me so much about the area, sending me maps, homes to look at, phone calls offering ups and downs of different areas, but most importantly, he wanted to know what I was looking for so he could help me "check off all the boxes". In May of 2022 I finally made the move here from Maine and began officially working with Alec to find a home. Because he listened intently to what I was looking for, it didn't take long to find my dream home in Battery Point with fabulous amenities. Alec will make sure you get everything thoroughly inspected before you make up your mind to buy or not to buy, e.g. inspection, termite inspection, appraisal, etc. He keeps his eye on the ball making sure things get taken care of quickly and correctly and the process continues to move along to closing. He spent months with me and was never pushy or impatient. AND he bought me a gift card to a high-end furniture store to boot! Alec's great!! I could go on and on and on. You can't go wrong with this broker. I highly, highly recommend him. Oh, and even though I'm in my home now, he still answers questions I have about the house, like how do I get the gas fireplace to work? He helped me figure that out!
Sanders MacDonald was great! He helped us both buy and sell our homes. He understood what our wants were in finding a house. Went beyond the norm to find out information about houses we were interested in when it was not available in the seller’s disclosure. Sanders followed up consistently through buying and selling process (i.e. lawyers, realtors, inspectors, etc.) to insure no issues. Lastly, Sanders was very personable, easy going and upfront about a house’s pluses and minuses (i.e. artificial stucco vs stucco integrity). To date we have bought and sold 13 houses over the last 40 years. Sanders has been by far the best Realtor we have worked with both on the buy and sell side. We would seek out and work with him again without hesitation.
