Oldfield is a sprawling 800+ acre golf community found near the Okatie River, with a rich and diverse history that dates all the way back to the 1700s. Interestingly, the land remained largely untouched for over a century until the 2000's when it was turned into the appealing community of homes and cottages that it has become today.
Nearby communities include Sun City/Riverbend, Rose Hill Plantation, and Berkeley Hall.
Oldfield real estate is a mix of homesites, and spacious single family homes. The Lowcountry style draws on the area's architectural heritage. Homes are charming and full of period details like heart pine floors, metal roofing, tabby chimneys, and columns. You can expect to find everything from cottage homes to water-front estate homes with phenomenal views of the Okatie River.
Homebuyers who prefer to start from scratch can build a custom home in a number of different styles and floor plans. Homesites vary in location and price with premium waterfront lots commanding well over $500,000.
On top of gorgeous natural surroundings, Oldfield's major features include the classic River Club which doubles as the community clubhouse. There is also a Greg Norman Signature golf course, and a sports club with tennis, fitness and aquatic center.
The outfitter's center takes advantage of the river and all of its recreational opportunities, and the 20-acre equestrian center brings out everyone's inner rider. Estate-sized homesites give way to extraordinary views, traditional architecture, and true Lowcountry charm.
Golf enthusiasts have the benefit of being right next to a Greg Normal 18-hole Signature Course. The gorgeous award-winning course takes advantage of the Lowcountry's scenic backdrop and is frequented by wildlife. After a challenging round, players can lounge in the 20,000 square foot Golf Club which features formal dining, private rooms for entertaining, practice facilities, and separate men's and women's lounge areas.
