History

Recognizing the natural beauty and potential for thoughtful development in a relatively undisturbed area near the end of Jonesville Road, John Finis of Portofino Custom Homes began acquiring Shearwater Plantation homesites in 2011. With time and patience, he knew the opportunity to develop Shearwater Plantation into a welcoming haven for a select few homeowners would be in the not so distant future, particularly as Hilton Head Island’s popularity grew.
