Catch up with Myron as he talks about how he got his start in real estate, his community, and his favorite spots in the Lowcountry.

Charter One Realty: When did you know that you wanted to pursue a career in real estate?

Myron Martin: I invested in properties in Hilton Head for years and decided I wanted to help others make some smart investments, too.

Charter One Realty: What’s kept you in the business after your initial success?

Myron Martin: Early on in my real estate career I used Randy Fix as my agent. I wanted to be as capable as Randy in helping buyers. I became a part of the Fix Team and we have never exchanged a cross word in working together.

Charter One Realty: What’s one common mistake you see prospective buyers make?

Myron Martin: Some prospective buyers have a voracious desire to see many properties and stretch out their lengthy search, lose perspective, and sometimes lose their number one choice to another buyer.

Charter One Realty: How has technology changed the industry, and what does it mean for buyers?

Myron Martin: Every prospective buyer has done due diligence on the web. They are informed and it ups the ante for the agent to be prepared and know the market.

Charter One Realty: What advice do you have for buyers looking in the Lowcountry?

Myron Martin: I suggest that prospects have a good concept of how they want to spend their time and what amenities are important currently but also as they age. Also, what will pull their loved ones to their Lowcountry oasis.

Charter One Realty: How has your partnership given you an edge in the market?

Myron Martin: I'm part of Randy Fix's Team. I have found Randy to be a wealth of knowledge on everything that I need.

Charter One Realty: Can you talk about how your personalities complement each other?

Myron Martin: Mutual respect is priceless.

Charter One Realty: Please tell us about your neighborhood and your home.

Myron Martin: We live in Oldfield. It is amenity rich, but the real treasures of Oldfield are the friends and neighbors.

Charter One Realty: What are your favorite shops and restaurants in our community and why?

Myron Martin: OMBRA Cucina Rustica is a classic for Italian dining. Charlie's L'Etoile Verte for seafood and French cuisine Michael Anthony's Cooking Demonstration Class is the ultimate engagement for discerning foodies. It is entertaining and hands-on cooking experience to share with friends and family.
