With the unofficial end of summer nearing, we are getting excited about the new season and cannot wait for upcoming Lowcountry fall events! September kicks off the Food and Wine event season featuring some of our delicious seasonal seafood. We’re ready to make the most of our gorgeous Lowcountry autumn weather and taste and toast to our heart’s content!

From fall events on Hilton Head to festivals in Bluffton and foodie days in Beaufort, there is something for everyone. It doesn’t matter if it’s a golf cart ride or a car ride trip across town, it’s time to start planning and purchasing tickets! Check out upcoming events happening soon! 

 

2021 Fall Food Events in Bluffton

In just over a month, the Historic Bluffton Arts & Seafood Festival is coming to town. The 17th annual event was created to celebrate the Lowcountry seafood and arts scene, supporting local vendors and the community. The event is all about coming together to have a great time, a perfect celebration for tourists and locals.

From boat tours to soirees to having a blast in the Old Town Bluffton Historic District, attendees will enjoy everything there is to offer about the Lowcountry food and way of life.  

  • When: Oct. 16 - 24

  • Where: most activities are held in Old Town Bluffton Historic District

  • Cost: ranges based on activity (some events are free, boat tours are $30 per person, Supper Soiree on Oct. 16 is $125 per ticket)

  • Know before you go:  the highlight of the event is the street fest, on Saturday, Oct. 23, and Sunday, Oct. 24.

 

2021 Hilton Head Island Wine and Food Festival

This year, the Hilton Head Wine and Food Festival is going to be the talk of the town. This can't-miss event is basically the annual introduction to fall that you must attend. With so many dates to choose from (Tuesday through Saturday), it’s easy to find a day that works with your schedule. 

Highlights include movie night,  “shop local” highlight called Sip and Stroll, the “Stay Gold: A Lowcountry Wine, Food and Music Experience.” and their fantastic VIP evening, the Grand Tasting. Their largest event, the Public Tasting, takes place in less than two weeks!

Plus, ​​the wine auction proceeds support scholarships for students studying hospitality at the University of South Carolina Beaufort and Technical College of the Lowcountry

  • When: Sept. 14 - 18

  • Where: the main event is on Saturday will be held at Celebration Park

  • Cost: ranges from $35 to $125 per ticket

  • Know before you go: some nights and events are already sold out! Choose a date and book your tickets as soon as possible. 

 

2021 Fall Food Events in Beaufort

The Beaufort Shrimp Festival will make your tastebuds jump in just a few weeks! The event is in its 27th year and promises all seafood lovers and Lowcountry locals a good time, great music and plenty of delicious food. 

If you’re up for it, there is even a race called Run Forrest Run 5K on Saturday morning!

  • When: Oct. 1 - 2 (Friday & Saturday)

  • Where: Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park

  • Cost: Admission is free. Vendors will have food and items for purchase.

  • Know before you go:  There will be lots of local vendors and live entertainment. Be sure to arrive hungry!

There is something that everyone can look forward to doing this season. If seafood is your thing, you might need to attend ALL of these events! If you’re a wine enthusiast, be sure to make your way to Hilton Head for the largest wine and food event of the year. No matter what you choose, it’s guaranteed fun!
