Salute from the Shore is a unique opportunity for individuals, families, and friends to salute our armed forces while celebrating Independence Day on South Carolina beaches. Salute from the Shore is a military flyover that will stretch the entire length of South Carolina's coast to include military planes and vintage aircraft.

4th of July Events in Beaufort, SC

Fireworks Display 

Join in the festivities during the 4th of July Celebration & Fireworks at the Sands of Port Royal. Hosted by the Town of Port Royal and Historic Port Royal Foundation, the event begins at 5 p.m. and runs until after the fireworks display at dusk. Fun for the entire family, enjoy hamburgers, hot dogs, face painting, jump castles, and much more – including the U.S. Marine Corps Band! 

5K Firecracker Run

The 2nd Annual 5K Firecracker Run is happening on Tuesday, July 04, 2023, from 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM. The run will take place in Downtown Beaufort, SC (1006 Bay St, Beaufort, SC 29909), with tickets starting at $35. Run through historic downtown Beaufort and across the famous Woods Bridge following a certified 5K course. The run supports HELP of Beaufort.

4th of July Events on Hilton Head, SC

HarbourFest 4th of July Fireworks

Join us for the biggest 4th of July fireworks show on Hilton Head Island! Don't miss Shannon Tanner's special patriotic family show at 6:30 PM & 8 PM and kids' activities with Cappy the Clown from 6 – 9 PM! Additionally, children will enjoy bounce houses & train rides around the promenade (for an additional cost) starting at 6:00 pm! Fireworks begin around 9 PM. More information here.

Summer Jams - Shelter Cove Park

The Island Recreation Association is proud to bring you a fun-filled, festive atmosphere with the highlight of the night fireworks, which start around 9 PM. Kids of all ages can enjoy inflatable bounce houses and face painting for a minimal fee. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the fireworks!
When? Every Tuesday, vendors, music, and activities open at 6 PM, and fireworks begin around 9 PM.

Harbour Town Fireworks

Join the festivities in Harbour Town for a fireworks extravaganza that will light up the sky over the famous Harbour Town Lighthouse and Calibogue Sound. Enjoy food, fun, and live music. Fireworks will be at approximately 9 PM.

USA 5K

Hit the beach this July 4th for the USA 5K at Coligny Beach, Hilton Head Island. A July 4th celebration that all runners and walkers will love!
This is a fun, simple, family-oriented running experience for all ages and skill levels (runners and walkers) - that will not impose on the other activities you have planned for the July 4th holiday. Benefiting the Sea Turtle Patrol Hilton Head Island.

4th of July Events in Savannah, GA

Savannah's Waterfront Independence Day Celebration

The 3rd Infantry Division Bands will be performing from 6:30 pm until 9:45 pm on Rousakis Riverfront Plaza. Based at Fort Stewart in Hinesville, Ga., members of the Brass Band and Rock Band will kick off the evening. The finale is the 40-piece U.S. Army Concert Band that has delighted audiences around the world since its inception in 1943.

There will be several opportunities to celebrate our nation's birthday on Savannah's Waterfront, including dinner and drink specials and many waterfront restaurants, along with live entertainment at Plant Riverside District and on Rousakis Riverfront Plaza. Merchants are looking forward to having guests come to enjoy the many shopping and dining options along the waterfront over the holiday weekend. Savannah's Waterfront will host the annual Independence Day Fireworks Show on Tuesday, July 4, at 9:15 pm.

Spectators on the waterfront are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets; however, coolers are discouraged.

Savannah Stars and Stripes July 4th Weekend Celebration

Plant Riverside District will host the 2023 Savannah Stars and Stripes July 4th Weekend Friday, June 30 through Tuesday, July 4, to celebrate the Fourth of July holiday.

The patriotic annual celebration offers free, family-friendly entertainment, including live music on two riverfront stages, special fountain shows, and food and drink specials.

All family-friendly festivities, which are free and open to the public, will take place at Plant Riverside District, located on Savannah's historic riverfront at 400 W. River St.

Join us for Tybee's annual celebration of America's birthday. Come early and plan to stay late, as this is one of Tybee Island's busiest days of the year. The independence day fireworks go off with a bang at dark, which is between 9:15 pm and 9:30 pm. The show is staged on the pier but is easily viewed from any of Tybee Island's eastern beaches. Rally the family and bring them out to our beautiful little island for this free event, then hang around afterward for island-wide dining and drink specials. It is sure to be a great night for all!
