Charter One Realty agent, Tracy Dayton, has lived in the Lowcountry for more than a decade and enjoys every minute of it. She describes our island as "a big playground with so much to explore," and we sat down with her to find out why.

Charter One Realty: When did you know that you wanted to pursue a career in real estate?
Tracy Dayton: As a young girl I was always fascinated with homes, design, and construction. I knew one day that I would get to work in the field I felt so passionate about.
Charter One Realty: Tell us about your start in the business. How did the first year go?
Tracy Dayton: I started in Real Estate at a very young age. My first job at 15 was working in a Real Estate office in NY. I started my Real Estate career in land development and new home sales in when I got out of college and have been enjoying ever since!
Charter One Realty: What has kept you in the business after your initial success?
Tracy Dayton: I love what I do! I love to meet new people and help them get their dream home. It is wonderful. I get to see the Lowcountry through my clients' eyes for the first time!
Charter One Realty: What’s one common mistake you see prospective buyers make?
Tracy Dayton: Not using a realtor and being misguided by the information they find online.

Tracy Dayton: My family and friends. Both of those are extremely important to me and I am blessed to have them all in my life. I am blessed to have my 83-year-old mom living with us. It is nice to have all 3 generations under one roof.
