An End Is In Site For The Hilton Head Island Flyover Bridge – New Completion Date Set

The date of the $46 million flyover bridge construction project has a new completion date. Engineers plan to have the flyover bridge connecting the Bluffton Parkway to Highway 278 completed by June 30, 2016. After three years of construction, commuters are thrilled to see the project come to an end.

Initially, the bridge was set to be completed in November 2015. Residents and travelers have dealt with the bridge congestion and construction for the past three years. All are excited to see a bit of relief in the near future. Upon its completion, those traveling on the Bluffton Parkway will have direct access to Highway 278 thus relieving congestion and bottlenecking at the Hilton Head Bridge. Charter One Realty Donation Helping to Support the Building of the “Neighborhood with a Purpose” Development to Help Individuals with Disabilities and their Families

Bluffton, South Carolina, January 2016 -- Charter One Realty presented Osprey Village with a check for $15,000 to help the organization turn into a reality its vision for a “Neighborhood with a Purpose”. The money will help Osprey Village develop an inclusive residential community for adults with developmental disabilities.
