For many years, Hilton Head Island has been known for its great golf and fantastic beaches. Today many people are enjoying Hilton Head as one of the top biking communities in the Southeast. Recently the Town of Hilton Head Island was awarded the Gold Level Bike Friendly Community by the League of American Bicyclists. Hilton Head Island is the only Gold Level Community in South Carolina as well as all of the Southeast. Within the Town of Hilton Head Island, there are more than 60 miles of public pathways and nature trails that cyclists can enjoy. Buyers are listening when we say “Come for a Visit and Stay for a Lifetime!”  A few good examples of this are the fact that real estate home sales on Hilton Head Island in 2015 are 8% higher than the first 6 months of 2014.  The second example is the fact that the need for a new telephone area code for the eastern 1/3 of South Carolina, the coastal area from North Carolina to Hilton Head Island.

The Players Amateur Golf Tournament, held from July 7 – 12 at the beautiful Berkeley Hall Golf Club in Bluffton, is known as one of the top amateur golf tournaments in the United States.  The tournament brings together many of the world’s best amateur golfers right here on Hilton Head Island – with many former Players Am contestants going on to have successful careers on the PGA TOUR.
