HarbourFest Announces Changes For 2016 Festivals in Shelter Cove

For locals and visitors alike, HarbourFest is a highly anticipated weekly event on Hilton Head Island. In fact, more than 60,000 people attend this festival of music, fun and fireworks along the Shelter Cove Harbour. Celebrating its 28th year, HarbourFest kicks off on Memorial Day Weekend (May 28th and 29th). Mark your calendars!  The South Carolina Department of Insurance will host two consumer events in the low country this coming June.  As Hurricane Season 2016 approaches, we encourage all South Carolinians to review their insurance policies and prepare for the upcoming storm season.  “Hurricane season begins June 1st and continues throughout the month of November.  Consumers should review their insurance policies, revisit or create a home inventory and update their family emergency plans now so that they are prepared,” advises Ray Farmer, Director of the South Carolina Department of Insurance (Department).
